Como 1907 is pleased to announce the temporary signing of goalkeeper Alfred Gomis from Rennes until June 2023.
Born in Senegal in 1993, he grew up in Cuneo and in the Turin youth academy. After the first experiences in Serie B, between Crotone, Avellino, Cesena and Salernitana, and in 2017 he made his debut in Serie A with Spal.
After two seasons with the Estensi, he went to play in the French top division, first at Dijon and then at Rennes. With the latter he collects 47 appearances in Ligue1, 4 in the Champions League and 6 in the Conference League.
In 2017 he also made his debut with the Senegalese national team with which he played the 2019 Africa Cup, which ended in second place, and won the 2021 one. He was part of the Teranga Lions expedition to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

I meet up with Mister Longo who had coached me in the Turin youth team, I got along very well with him and it will be a pleasure to be able to work with him again”.
