In Italy, according to the estimates of the Sole 24 Ore, there is still a 20% gap in wages between men and women, a gap that has grown with the pandemic and which in terms of wages at work confirms a disadvantage for women that is frankly not very tolerable. For this reason, the Como 1907 company on the occasion of International Women’s Day has decided to take charge of the gender gap that conditions women’s lives but which in fact penalizes our entire society. A symbolic and concrete gesture to make this gap more visible and to take sides with all women, so that they are increasingly protagonists of the economic, political and social life of our country. Inside and outside the stadium.
A 20% deduction will therefore be applied to all women on tickets for the next match played at home by the Larians, scheduled for March 15th against Ternana at 18.30.
The one proposed by the Club is not a discount, but an invitation to reflect on a situation that is no longer acceptable today. Como 1907 promotes and supports this initiative to focus attention on the important issue of the Gender Gap, which is still too current and which involves us all.
