Homegrown Talent Federico Grilli Signs First Professional Contract with Como 1907
Como 1907 is proud to confirm that central defender Federico Grilli has signed his first professional contract with the club.
A familiar face within the Bianco Blu Academy, Grilli began his journey with Como in 2015. After a spell at Novara, he returned to the club in 2021 and steadily established himself as one of the most dependable players in the youth setup.
Last season, Grilli made 26 appearances for the Primavera squad across league and cup competitions, scoring one goal and playing a key role in securing 15 clean sheets. His ability to read the game and his consistent performances reflect a maturity beyond his years. The season prior, he made 22 appearances and scored once with the Under-17s.
Grilli’s signing reinforces Como 1907’s commitment to identifying, developing, and investing in young Italian players—particularly those rooted in the local community. As the club continues to build an identity-based model for long-term success, players like Grilli stand at the heart of that vision.
Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907, commented:
“Grilli was probably the most consistent player during last season. He did not start the season in the squad but showed what can be achieved through determination and resilience. When given the opportunity, he was ready and seized it.
I believe he can grow even more during the next season.”Federico Grilli added:
“I am very happy to be here: I feel the trust from everyone, and Como is home to me. I can’t wait to start again and improve day by day wearing the Como shirt.”
