Como 1907 Extends Kristiāns Mežsargs Contract Until 2028
Como 1907 is pleased to confirm the contract extension of Latvian forward Kristiāns Mežsargs until June 2028.
Born in 2006, the highly promising striker boasts an impressive scoring record, having netted five goals in eight appearances in the Primavera 2 Championship since joining the club on the shores of Lake Como in January, despite being sidelined by injury for three months.
Mežsargs is part of a talented group of young players developing within the Como 1907 youth sector, which remains a cornerstone of the club’s Bianco long-term vision.
Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907, commented: “During his time with us Kristian has shown that he can play the position very well, scoring important goals for the team, but more importantly he showed he is a team player who works hard for the group. This season will be very important for his individual development. The Technical staff rate him very highly.”
Commenting on the contract extension Kristiāns Mežsargs said: “I’m very happy to continue this journey with Como not only because of the relationship I have with my teammates but because through the excellent staff I am really developing as a player. Coming back from injury after three months out was a pivotal moment. I know that this club will have a great future and I want to be part of it. My personal goals are to help the Primavera side as much as possible and break into the first team.”
