Como 1907 Welcomes Four Young Talents to the Academy

Como 1907 is pleased to announce the arrival of four new players to its Academy, underlining the club’s commitment to developing the best Italian and international prospects of the 2009 generation.

Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907, said:

“We are very proud to welcome these young players into our Academy. Each of them brings quality, character, and ambition. Our goal is to provide the right environment for them to grow as footballers and as people, while preparing them for the demands of the professional game.”

Thomas Boccia – Forward

Attacking midfielder Thomas Boccia joins from Cagliari. Born in 2009, he is a creative and versatile player, capable of operating across the front line thanks to his technical qualities and vision.

He arrives with an impressive record, scoring 29 goals in two seasons with Cagliari’s youth teams – 12 with the Under-15s in 2023/24 and 17 with the Under-16s last season.

Marco Colugnat – Forward 

Forward Marco Colugnat arrives from Varesina, where he established himself as one of Lombardy’s most exciting young players. Born in 2009, he scored 27 goals in 42 appearances across the Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 teams last season.

A powerful centre-forward, he combines physicality with composure in front of goal.

Matteo Albini – Defender

Italian right-back Matteo Albini joins Como from the Brescia Calcio Academy. Born in 2009, he is a determined and dynamic player with strong attacking qualities. Last season, he scored three goals and provided numerous assists for Brescia’s Under-17s, demonstrating consistency and maturity.

Pedro Demiddi – Midfielder

Spanish-Argentine midfielder Pedro Demiddi joins Como from FC Barcelona’s renowned La Masia Academy. Born in 2009, he is a technically gifted attacking player who can also operate as a winger or centre-forward. Last season, he scored 15 goals in 28 appearances, confirming his status as one of the most promising players to emerge from Barcelona’s youth sector.

With its ambitious development project and growing infrastructure, the Como 1907 Academy continues to build a pathway for the next generation of talent, offering young players a professional and stimulating environment for their complete development.
