Promising Young Italian Talent Alessio Baralla Joins Como 1907’s Primavera from Empoli
Como 1907 is delighted to announce the signing, on loan with an obligation to buy, of promising young Italian midfielder Alessio Baralla from Empoli. The player, born in 2008, who just a few months ago won the bronze medal at the U17 World Cup in Qatar, alongside new team mate Primavera defender Cristiano De Paoli, perfectly represents the club’s desire to enrich its youth sector with emerging national talent.
Baralla also played alongside De Paoli in the 2025 Under-17 European Championship, scoring in the semi-final against Portugal. In recent months, the midfielder has not only earned a call-up to the Under-18 national team, but has also been called up to Empoli’s first team in Serie B and the Coppa Italia, as well as making ten appearances for the Tuscan side’s Primavera team in Primavera 2.
“Alessio is a young player full of potential. He is a good fit for us as a Football Club, technically strong and high game intelligence. We have been monitoring him for some time and I also watched him live at the U17 World Cup in Qatar in November. We welcome him to the Como 1907 family”, said Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907.
This was Alessio Baralla’s comment on his arrival on the shores of Lake Como: “I am very proud to have arrived here in Como and I can’t wait to wear this jersey. I am joining a very strong group of guys and I will give my all to help the team, improve, and achieve our goals.”
