Como 1907 is pleased to announce the agreement with FC Barcelona for the loan of Álex Valle until the end of the current season. The 20-year-old Spanish left-back is currently on loan at Celtic who are currently sitting top of Scottish Premiership.
Álex Valle is a product of Barcelona's esteemed La Masia academy, which he joined in 2014 from CE Sant Gabriel. He made his senior debut with Barcelona B in March 2022 and has since gained valuable experience through loan spells at FC Andorra and Levante UD. In August 2024, Valle joined Celtic FC on a season-long loan, making 11 appearances and providing three assists.
Head coach Cesc Fàbregas commented on the loan deal, "Álex is a talented young defender with a solid foundation from his time at Barcelona and valuable experience gained during his loan at Celtic. His ability to contribute both defensively and offensively will be a great asset to our squad."
On joining Álex Valle said: “I’m delighted to be here and excited about the project being built at Como 1907. I really like the style of play here and I think it suits me well. I spoke with Fàbregas, and he has given me a lot of confidence. I believe we share the same vision. I’m looking forward to what’s ahead and can’t wait to get on the pitch with my new teammates”.
