Andrea Belotti preliminarily signs for Como 1907

Como 1907 Football Club is thrilled to announce the preliminary signing of Andrea Belotti to become a Como player on July 1st 2024. The striker who was part of the Italian Euro 2020 championship winning team has signed a two year contract. He joins from Fiorentina where he was on loan from Roma.

Nicknamed “il gallo” (the rooster), Belotti started his career with UC AlbinoLeffe here in Lombardy, before signing for Palermo, where he won a Serie B title. He then joined Torino in 2015 becoming their eighth-highest goalscorer of all time before joining Roma in 2022.

Cesc Fàbregas, head coach, Como 1907, on signing Belotti said: “We are very happy that Andrea has joined the Como family. As we embark on an exciting and important season back in Serie A, his experience of the league will be crucial and we know he has the ability to be a formidable goal scorer.”

On joining the club, Andrea commented: “I chose Como 1907 because I was very impressed by the project presented by the coach and the ownership group. When speaking with the coach, he shared his ideas about football, his approach to each game, and his mentality. This was crucial for me because the coach’s mentality aligns with my own. As I mentioned before, I think it is a very ambitious project with the right mindset. It has everything needed to succeed.”
