Ben Elf’s Advent Calendar

Through its support of Ben Elf’s Advent Calendar, created by the Chi Ben Comincia association, Como 1907 promotes the true values of Christmas among children, such as inclusion, friendship, and respect. This special calendar, designed by Marco Meroni, president of the association, offers an educational journey aimed at teaching children the importance of solidarity and kindness.

“We want to give children a meaningful Christmas,” says Marco, “where each day of the calendar delivers a message that stays with them.”

The calendar features a variety of activities to engage children of all ages, enabling them to learn through different multimedia formats. Each day, Ben Elf’s letters share stories that explore themes such as respect and the acceptance of diversity.

The idea for the project stems from Marco’s personal experience. His son Ale, diagnosed with a severe illness at the age of four, became his source of inspiration. “I envision a better world for him and his peers. Ben Elf’s Advent Calendar was born from the desire to create a more caring society that embraces values often forgotten,” Meroni explains.

This year, approximately 10,000 calendars have already been distributed, most of them in the Como area. Many have also been donated to local schools and paediatric hospitals, bringing joy to children spending the holiday season in hospital.

“Como 1907 has shown great sensitivity towards this project, supporting the initiative with genuine commitment and allowing us to bring the calendar to local paediatric wards,” says Meroni. “It’s a gesture that truly honours the local Como team.”
