Como 1907 and Dynamo Academy join forces to train Accessibility Volunteers

In collaboration with Dynamo Academy, the Club organised a training course for Accessibility Volunteers, aiming to make the stadium experience increasingly inclusive and accessible to everyone.

For over 15 years, Dynamo Academy has supported companies, managers, and professionals in integrating sustainability and the "Common Good" into their corporate strategies. Created from the concrete experience and expertise gained by Dynamo Camp ETS, the Academy brings a unique, pragmatic, and social-impact-oriented approach to the corporate world.

Through consultancy, training, corporate engagement, and research pathways, it guides entrepreneurs, institutions, caregivers, and non-profit organisations toward a responsible leadership model. Every educational program is custom-tailored, placing people, diversity, equity, and inclusion at its core. Combining social responsibility, updates on ESG trends, and high-value human experiences is what defines Dynamo Academy.

Como 1907 reaffirms its commitment to making the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium an increasingly welcoming and accessible place where every fan can fully experience the passion of football. In line with this vision, a training course for Accessibility Volunteers was held on September 23rd at the G. Sinigaglia Stadium, organised by the Club in partnership with Dynamo Academy.

The role of the Accessibility Volunteer, introduced by UEFA, was created to facilitate the matchday experience for supporters with disabilities through the presence of trained, dedicated staff on matchdays.

Accessibility Volunteers are tasked with accompanying and supporting fans with disabilities throughout the various stages of their stadium experience: from arrival at the venue to reaching their seats and utilizing the available services. They serve as a point of reference to address diverse needs and help make attending matches simpler, stress-free, and enjoyable.

The training course, open to employees of Como 1907 and SENT as well as stewards who already collaborate with the Club on matchdays, represented an important opportunity to explore accessibility in depth and acquire practical tools to best welcome and support all fans.

The training session alternated between group discussions and practical activities, offering participants the opportunity to deepen their understanding of accessibility through hands-on experience.

Particularly valuable was the personal account shared by Marco Andriano, who helped attendees better understand the needs of individuals with visual impairments, both in daily life and during major sporting events.

Among the activities offered, participants also had the opportunity to physically walk through the different stages of stadium access, from arrival at the venue to reaching the seats. The goal was not to simulate the experience of people with disabilities, but rather to develop greater awareness of diverse needs and identify increasingly attentive and effective methods of support and hospitality. This practical approach fostered reflection on the importance of listening, communication, and paying attention to the needs of every supporter, helping to elevate the overall quality of hospitality within the stadium.

This initiative is part of Como 1907's ongoing effort to promote concrete and continuous inclusion, both during UEFA Champions League fixtures and throughout Serie A and Coppa Italia matches.

Through training and the presence of dedicated personnel, the Club aims to pay ever-greater attention to the needs of supporters with disabilities, ensuring the stadium remains a place where everyone feels welcomed and part of the same community.
