Como 1907 and Uber unite on the pitch in support of Fondazione Heal

The game against Cagliari became the backdrop for a joint initiative with Uber, Como and Fondazione Heal to raise awareness and support the charity’s  fight against brain tumours and complex childhood diseases.

The match at the Sinigaglia Stadium kicked off with a moving moment, as three young patients from Fondazione Heal walked onto the pitch hand-in-hand with Como players. This symbolic gesture powerfully reflected the shared commitment of Como 1907, Uber, and Fondazione Heal to advancing research and supporting families facing the daily challenges of paediatric tumour treatment.

“Being able to contribute to this kind of initiative truly gives meaning to the value of our collaboration with Uber. Bringing moments of joy to children who are facing challenges far greater than a football match fills us with pride and motivates us to do even more” said Filadelfo Aparo, Head of Partnerships at Como 1907.

As a Mobility Partner of Fondazione Heal, Uber actively supports the community by providing free rides Uber Black e Taxi to and from hospitals and clinics — helping families access care more easily and with less stress.

Fondazione Heal was founded with the aim of supporting scientific research into paediatric brain tumours. They work every day to guarantee increasingly effective treatments, to offer concrete support to young patients, and to build a better future for them and their families.

Alessandro Perin, a surgeon at the “Carlo Besta” Neurological Institute in Milan – a national and international centre of excellence in neurosurgery – took part in the initiative, accompanying the young patients from Fondazione Heal to the Sinigaglia Stadium. Perin works with the foundation on the ASTRO-NETS project, which focuses on training the next generation of neurosurgeons.

“Treating patients with nervous system tumors is our job, and we believe it is something special. Healing children is even more meaningful, because it gives a young life the chance to fulfill its potential. We are grateful to Fondazione Progetto Heal, Uber, and Como 1907 for their compassion and courage in standing by our side in this battle. We are mostly thankful for the wonderful day spent together with the players and the children” said Perin.”
