Como 1907 Femminile Welcome Swiss international Eseosa Aigbogun

Como 1907 Femminile is pleased to announce the signing of Swiss defender Eseosa Aigbogun.

Aigbogun joins Como after a high-level career spanning Switzerland, Germany, France, and Italy. The defender began her career in the youth academy at Dietikon, Switzerland, before moving to Zurich, where she won a Swiss Cup, and then to Basel, where she won a Swiss Championship. In 2016, Aigbogun had her first experience playing abroad when she moved to Turbine Potsdam in Germany. After five seasons with Paris FC, the Swiss player joined Roma, where she won the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia, and the Italian Super Cup during her time in Italy, before moving on to Strasbourg.

With 100 appearances for the national team, Aigbogun has been a mainstay of the Swiss squad for years. Her versatility, reliability, and consistency have made her a cornerstone of the national team, a journey during which she played under head coach Nils Nielsen, now technical director of Como 1907 Femminile.

Eseosa will bring experience and a strong mindset to a team making its Serie A Women debut.

Heather O’Reilly, Head of Women’s Football at Como 1907 Femminile, commented: "Eseosa is a very reliable and consistent defender. Her positioning is very strong and she reads the game situations very well. She is familiar with the league and has won here. We are happy she is with us".

Upon her arrival in Como, Eseosa Aigbogun said: "I’m very happy to be here; I’ve felt very welcome right from the start. I hope to bring my experience, I’ve learned so much throughout my career, and I hope to put it to good use here in Como. I can’t wait to get started."
