Como 1907’s debut in the Champions League ended in the best possible way, with the BiancoBlu securing three points after defeating RB Leipzig 4-1.
Cesc Fàbregas’s team opened the scoring in the 15th minute thanks to a goal by Martin Baturina, marking the first-ever goal in Como’s Champions League history. The BiancoBlu doubled their lead with a goal by Douvikas in the 38th minute before making it 3-0 with a diagonal shot by Diao in the 54th minute.
The visitors pulled one back with a goal by Maksimovic in the 58th minute, but the BiancoBlu remained composed and sealed the 4-1 victory in the 90th minute when Perrone finished off an assist from Nico Paz.
Como 1907 got off to a strong start in the UEFA Champions League journey, and now attention turns to Monday, when the BiancoBlu will make their home debut in Serie A against Parma at 6:30 p.m.
