Como 1907 Football Club is excited to announce the signing of 17 year old Najemedine (Naj) Razi from current Irish Champions Shamrock Rovers until the end of the 25/26 season.
The Ireland Youth International who has been on the radar of a lot of big clubs, made his first team debut last Summer followed quickly by his debut in the UEFA Conference League.
The midfielder graced the European stage again for the Irish U17 squad during the 2023 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, crucially scoring against Wales and helping his team reach the quarter finals. In June 2023 he was also named the U17 Player of the Year at the FAI International Football Awards.
Caretaker Manager Osian explains why he is such an exciting prospect for the club: “There has been a lot of interest in this lad and rightly so. There is no doubt that Naj has the talent but we have also seen that he also has the right mentality. He’s grounded, focused and works hard and we look forward to how he develops here in Como.”
On moving to Como Naj said: “I can’t quite believe I am here. It’s been a brilliant six months from making my first team and the UEFA Conference debut to playing in the European U17 Championships. It’s exciting to be part of a big project like this and the coaching squad is first class. Forza Como!”
