Como 1907: Seven Players called-up on International Duty

During this break, seven Como 1907 players have been called up to represent their countries for international duty, including three up-and-coming academy players.

Nico Paz received his first call-up to the Argentina senior national team, to play in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.

Matthias Braunöder, captain of Austria’s U21 team, is set to lead his squad in the Euro U21 qualifiers against Slovenia and France.

Alieu Fadera will be competing for a place in the Africa Cup of Nations as he joins the Gambia national team in qualifiers against Madagascar.

Ali Jasim takes his place in the Iraq national team for the FIFA World Cup Asian qualifiers, where he will face Palestine and South Korea.

Meanwhile, on the youth side, Naj Razi from Como 1907 Primavera will join Ireland’s U19 team in a friendly tournament in Croatia, where he will face Greece, Croatia, and Mexico in preparation for next month’s U19 EURO qualifiers.

Matteo Castelli from the U17 team joined Italy’s U17 squad for the Torneo dei Gironi at Novarello.

Manuel Ortelli from the U15 team will participate in a friendly as part of the national team’s North Area trial, preparing for end-of-year U15 tournaments.
