Como 1907 Football Club is excited to announce the signing of Edoardo Goldaniga from Serie A side, Cagliari Calcio, on a two and half a year contract with option to extend for a further 12 months.
Born just up the road in Milan, defender Edoardo has played 150 games in Serie A over his career so far, which began with his debut at 21 years old while at Palermo. Goldaniga began his career when he was signed by Pizzighettone making more than 60 appearances for the club, before he was scouted by Palermo. This season he has made 13 appearances so far in Italy’s top flight.
On the new signing Caretaker Manager Osian explains: “Edoardo has played in a number of Italian teams from Pisa and Frosinone to Palermo and Genoa from Serie C to Serie A. This experience will be essential for the rest of the season and beyond, bringing an extra dimension to our defensive options.”
On joining Como 1907 Edoardo expressed his desire to help the team get back into the top flight: “I am very happy to be here in Como, the club has an important project and I want to be part of it and contribute to it.”
