Como 1907 Ventures invests in Collecto at a €45 million valuation

Como 1907, through its innovation vehicle Como 1907 Ventures, has announced an equity investment in Collecto, Italy's first digital platform enabling fractional ownership of luxury collectible assets. The strategic agreement is based on a company valuation of €45 million.

The partnership originated within the Como 1907 Ventures ecosystem following the programme's inaugural Pitch Day, held in early December. The event marked the official launch of Como 1907's venture capital programme, developed in collaboration with The Players Fund, the venture infrastructure company supporting the club's innovation programme.

During the event, which brought together innovative businesses operating across sport, health, climate and technology, the Como 1907 Ventures team met Collecto Co-Founder and CPO Salvatore Zola. That initial meeting laid the foundations for the partnership announced today.

The collaboration brings together two organisations using technology and digital ecosystems to challenge established models within their respective sectors. Como 1907, recognised internationally as one of football's most distinctive and talked-about emerging brands, will provide Collecto with access to the club's global visibility and network across sport, tourism and luxury lifestyle. As part of the agreement, Como 1907 Ventures will take an equity stake in Collecto.

The partnership will include the use of official Como 1907 branding, joint media campaigns, exclusive items for Collecto users and a series of co-branded events. During the recent Como Cup competition, the startup enjoyed a strategic presence in the FanZone with full infrastructural support, VIP passes across four match days, and integration into the Como 1907 retail experience at the tournament.

The second chapter of this collaboration will take place in the prestigious Hublot Watch Activation. This initiative involves the exclusive worldwide launch on the Collecto app of the Hublot COMO 1907 watch signed by Lucas da Cunha: number 33 of a limited series of just 50 pieces, chosen specifically to echo the captain's shirt number. The activation will be promoted across dedicated digital channels and includes the chance to win a VIP hospitality experience at a Como Champions League match.

Salvatore Zola, Co-Founder and CPO of Collecto, said: "The partnership with Como 1907 marks a fundamental milestone that certifies the value of Collecto and the scalability of its business model. The common ground for both organisations is innovation as a driver of growth, a value also demonstrated by Como 1907's extraordinary sporting achievements, culminating in its historic qualification for the Champions League. This agreement gives us immediate access to a global ecosystem capable of blending sport and luxury, accelerating our growth trajectory."

Ryan Shelton, CBO of Como 1907, added: "Collecto offers our fans a completely new way to own a piece of Como 1907, transforming passion into shared access to collectible items in a way that simply never existed before. This partnership reflects exactly the kind of innovation we want to bring to our community."

Como 1907's entry into the capital validates Collecto's growth. In just two years since its founding, the company has recorded some of the best results in the national startup landscape, going from a transaction volume of €380,000 in its first year to around €60 million in 2025. With over 300,000 registered users under 40 and average share sale times of just 24 hours, the backing of a global partner like Como 1907 accelerates the platform's European expansion plans.
