Women’s football returns to the shores of Lake Como.
On Friday, 21 August, Como 1907 Women will open their 2026/27 Serie A Women’s Cup campaign at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium, welcoming Juventus Women for a landmark evening in the heart of the city.
Kick-off is at 18:00 CEST, with the match marking Como’s first official fixture in the competition and the opening game of Group C, which also features Milan and Como Women.
For the BiancoBlù, it will be a return to a ground already woven into the story of the team.
Last season, Como played twice at the Sinigaglia on their way to the Serie B Femminile title and promotion to Serie A Women. In December, Selena Mazzantini’s side defeated San Marino Academy 4-0 by the lake, before returning in April for a 2-1 victory over Cesena as promotion drew ever closer.
Now, a new chapter begins.
The match will give supporters their first opportunity to see the BiancoBlù at home this season, welcoming back familiar faces from last year’s promotion-winning squad while meeting the new players who have arrived in Como over the summer.
And the first test could hardly be bigger.
Juventus arrive as reigning Serie A Women’s Cup champions, having lifted the inaugural trophy last season after defeating Roma in the final. They also finished third in Serie A Women, securing a place in the preliminary rounds of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
A new season. A major opponent. And one of Italian football’s most distinctive settings.
Nils Nielsen, Technical Director of Como 1907 Women, said “Playing at the Sinigaglia is a fantastic opportunity, both for us and for the women’s football movement in Italy. It will be a great chance for the fans to get to know the new players and get ready for a new and magnificent season. We’d like to extend our sincere thanks to the Club for its support of this initiative.”
