Como 1907 Women welcomes Italian international goalkeeper Francesca Durante as the club continues to build its squad for a historic first season in Serie A Women.
The 1997-born goalkeeper joins from Inter with more than 100 appearances in Italy's top flight. After beginning her career with Sarzanese and making her Serie A debut with Scalese, Durante went on to represent Fiorentina, Hellas Verona, Inter and Lazio.
During her career, she has won a Scudetto, two Coppa Italia titles and an Italian Super Cup. She was also named Serie A's best goalkeeper for the 2022/23 season and selected in the AIC Team of the Year in both 2021 and 2023.
Durante has represented Italy from Under-17 level and has made 15 appearances for the senior national team, featuring at the FIFA Women's World Cup, the UEFA Nations League and the Algarve Cup.
Known for her presence, reliability and leadership, Durante brings further experience and quality to Selena Mazzantini's squad ahead of the club's first season in Serie A Women.

She is confident with the ball at her feet and has an excellent range of passing. She is a great addition to our group, and we cannot wait to see her game continue to grow because she has tremendous potential."
Speaking after joining the club, Durante said: "I'm really happy to be here. I loved this project from the very beginning. I'll do everything I can to bring my qualities, both as a player and as a person, to my teammates and the club. I can't wait to get started."
