Como 1907 Women welcomes Danish international Sofie Svava as the club continues to build its squad for a historic first season in Serie A Women.
The 2000-born left-back joins from OL Lyonnes, bringing extensive experience at both club and international level. During her career, Svava has represented Brøndby, Rosengård, Wolfsburg, Real Madrid and OL Lyonnes, making 34 appearances in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She arrives in Como following a successful 2025/26 season in France, where she won the league title, the French Cup and the French League Cup with OL Lyonnes.
Svava has represented Denmark from Under-16 level and has made more than 60 appearances for the senior national team. Her international experience includes the UEFA Women’s European Championship, the UEFA Nations League, the Algarve Cup and FIFA Women’s World Cup qualifying campaigns.
Known for her athleticism, pace and quality of delivery, Svava adds further experience and attacking strength to Selena Mazzantini’s squad ahead of the club’s first campaign in Serie A Women.
