Como 1907’s Men’s Primavera Team Wins the Championship and is Promoted to Primavera 1

Como 1907 is proud of the journey undertaken by the Men’s Primavera team, who finished top of Group A in the Primavera 2 championship, earning a well-deserved, direct promotion to Primavera 1.

Led by Head Coach Daniele Buzzegoli, the young players celebrated promotion following a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Enrico Sannazzari, home of Virtus Entella. It marks a significant achievement for both the team and the Club: next season, Como’s Primavera side will compete in Primavera 1, Italy’s top national Under-19 league.

The young BiancoBlu finished a point ahead of Lecco, securing the title thanks to the second-best attack and the best defensive record in Group A of Primavera 2. It has been an important journey, built by a strong and united group that fully achieved its objective.

The Club takes great pride in this milestone and remains committed to supporting the continued growth and development of its youth sector.

Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907, said: “We started the season well and have been at the top of the league throughout, which is never easy. Everything comes down to hard work every day. We have a clear identity shaped by the First Team, and we want that to be reflected across the entire Club. The players showed maturity, personality and presence on the pitch. Having the team in Primavera 1 is important for us, as it allows our players to compete against the best in their age group, while continuing to develop their pathway towards the First Team.”

Davide Facchin, Sporting Director of Como 1907’s Men’s Primavera team, added: “I am very proud, no one deserves this achievement more than this group. We would like to thank the Club for providing everything we needed to perform at our best. It was important for the team to test itself at a higher level of competition. I am very fond of these players, and today we are really happy.”

Coach Daniele Buzzegoli said, “The boys have had an incredible journey, and they deserve this achievement, also in recognition of the work done last year. I am very satisfied. We faced difficult and demanding matches, but the players were always there. We are part of a wonderful project, closely aligned with the First Team, where young players are highly valued. Working with them is fantastic because they give you something special every day.”

Como 1907 congratulates all the players, Coach Buzzegoli, and the entire staff on a season that has highlighted the talent, commitment, and hard work of the whole group.
