Como Brings Home Three Points from Monza

Monza-Como 1-3 

Como 1907 won the match against Monza, scoring three goals in a league match for the first time since 4 October 1970, when they triumphed 3-1 away in Serie B.

In the 5th minute, Dani Mota put Monza ahead with a header that curled into the far corner of the net.

Ten minutes later, in the 16th minute, French winger Jonathan Ikonè equalised for Como, scoring his second goal in the Bianco Blu shirt with a precise finish from an assist by Assane Diao.

Ghanaian forward Assane Diao then gave Como the 2-1 lead in the 39th minute. A pass from Caqueret, deflected by an opposition defender, put Diao one-on-one with Turati, and he finished calmly with a well-placed strike.

After the break, Kosovar defender Mërgim Vojvoda sealed the win for the Lariani with a strike from inside the penalty area, finding the top corner of the near post for the final 3-1 scoreline.

Now, the focus shifts to Como 1907’s next match, scheduled for Sunday, 13 April, at the Stadio Sinigaglia against Torino.
