Tonight, the Sinigaglia Stadium is set to host the final of the second edition of the Como Cup. Yesterday, the tournament has already seen Como secure third place thanks to a 2–0 victory over Famalicão, with a brace from Douvikas and a goal from Diao, while Crystal Palace claimed fifth place by defeating Al-Ula. Now, on the shores of Lake Como, Villarreal and RC Lens will go head-to-head for the trophy in a match kicking off at 20:00. It promises to be a high-quality contest between two sides that, alongside Como, will compete in the upcoming UEFA Champions League season.

Villarreal and RC Lens are set to go head-to-head for the Como Cup trophy. The Spanish side reached the final after a 3–0 victory over AlUla SC and a penalty shoot-out win against Como 1907. Ayoze Pérez has been in excellent form, scoring twice and earning the MVP award against AlUla SC while Alberto Moleiro was on target against Como. Pérez will also be supported by the unpredictability of Nicolas Pépé and the attacking quality of the Mikautadze–Moreno partnership. Villarreal play an attacking football, built on controlled possession, quick ball circulation and intelligent movement, using positional rotations and off-the-ball runs to exploit spaces in the opposition's defence.
On the other side, RC Lens, led by new head coach Dino Toppmöller, arrive in the final after a convincing 3–0 win over Crystal Palace FC, although that was followed by a penalty shoot-out defeat to Famalicão. Fresh from an impressive Ligue 1 campaign, Ganiou picked up where he left off in 2025/26, producing a near-flawless performance featuring two crucial goal-line clearances, composed build-up play and incisive vertical passing through the lines.
Toppmöller's side can also rely on the quality and experience of Thorgan Hazard and former Serie A forward Florian Thauvin, alongside Cuisance and Saud Abdulhamid, giving the French side plenty of attacking and technical quality ahead of the final.
