Como 1907’s new Under-18 team, which will compete in the Under-18 Professional Championship starting this season, will take part in the Best Cup tournament in Madrid from July 13 to 16. The team, coached by Giovanni Fietta, will compete in the prestigious Best Cup, now in its third edition, before making its league debut against Hellas Verona on the last weekend of August.
Espanyol won the first two editions of this U18 tournament. The competition, featuring 12 teams, will be held at the Ernesto Cotorruelo Complex – RFFM in Madrid and will last a total of four days.
The young BiancoBlù will face Getafe on July 13 at 8:45 p.m. in the opening match and Club Madrid City on July 14 at 8:45 p.m., in games consisting of two 35-minute halves. Based on the results, the final phase of the tournament will be determined, featuring, among others, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético Madrid, Porto, Real Betis, and Espanyol.
This is an important competition that will allow Coach Fietta’s team to finalize their preparations by facing opponents of international caliber ahead of the start of the league season.
