Como take on Bologna at the Dall’Ara in the 23rd Serie A Enilive

Como 1907 will travel to Bologna to face them at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on 1 February 2025, for the 23rd matchday of Serie A Enilive. The Lariani are looking to bounce back after their home defeat to Atalanta, while the Rossoblù, coming off a draw against Empoli, aim to keep collecting points in their pursuit of European football.

“Bologna are a Champions League-level team. I’ve watched their games, and they press a lot, even more than Atalanta. We’ll need to manage possession well and maintain continuity in our play. They often build their attacks with high pressing and long balls, so we must be brave and impose our identity,” said Cesc Fàbregas in the pre-match press conference.

Previous Encounters

Como have won eight of their 19 Serie A encounters against Bologna (8W, 6D, 5L), recording their lowest defeat percentage against the Rossoblù (26%). However, Bologna have won their last three home matches against the Larians in Serie A, keeping a clean sheet in each. The last meeting, held at the Sinigaglia on 14 September, ended in a 2-2 draw, with goals from Cutrone and an own goal by Casale for Como.

Players to Look Out For

Bologna’s attack is led by Santiago Castro, who has six goals and four assists in the league, and Riccardo Orsolini, the team’s top scorer with seven goals. In midfield, Remo Freuler dictates play, while Beukema and Posch provide solidity in defence.
