Coppa Italia Femminile Frecciarossa – The final will be played at the ‘Giuseppe Sinigaglia’ stadium in Como.
The ‘Giuseppe Sinigaglia’ stadium in Como will host the final of the Frecciarossa Women’s Italian Cup on Saturday 17 May at 6 p.m. (live on Rai 2 and Sky Sport and streaming on RaiPlay and NOW). Juventus and Roma, winners of the last five editions, will compete for the trophy: the Bianconere, who eliminated Fiorentina in the semi-finals, are chasing their fourth Coppa Italia after those of 2019 (in Parma), 2022 (in Ferrara) and 2023 (in Salerno), while Roma, holders of the trophy, who beat Sassuolo in the semi-finals, triumphed last year in Cesena and, before that, in 2021 in Reggio Emilia.
Frecciarossa will once again be the Title Partner of the Women’s Italian Cup, as it was for the Super Cup played on 6 January in La Spezia. The Trenitalia (FS Group) high-speed train, already a Premium Partner of the national football teams, continues to support the competitions of the Professional Women’s Serie A Division of the FIGC, confirming its commitment to the world of sport and to the promotion of talent, excellence and uniqueness.
Bianconere and giallorosse (Canzi’s team will be the first named, after the draw made at the FIGC headquarters on 11 March) will compete for the Coppa Italia for the third time, with Juventus having won both previous finals: in 2022, at the ‘Paolo Mazza’, Girelli and Gama’s goals decided the match, while in 2023 at the Arechi Bonansea’s goal was decisive.
The final will therefore be hosted by Como, a city that in recent years has consolidated its tradition at women’s level, given the presence of two different important clubs in the area, Como 1907, which plays in the Lombardy Excellence championship, and Como Women, which plays in Serie A. Both projects are very ambitious and testify to the enormous attention both clubs pay to the development of their respective activities.
