Marbella Diaries – Day Five: Rain, Rallies & the Rise of Team Germany

The Lariani squad woke up to the sound of rain tapping on the windows—but a little drizzle was never going to slow this group down.

After a solid team breakfast, the day kicked off indoors with gym work and injury prevention drills. Tactical training followed as soon as the pitch was playable, with sharp drills, shooting practice, and transition work keeping the energy high and the focus sharper.

Then came the real battle: the Football Tennis tournament. And let’s just say—it delivered. With teams representing different European countries, the competition was fierce and the banter even fiercer. In a plot twist nobody saw coming, “Team Germany” shocked the favourites, knocking out Spain, brushing past France, and sealing an epic win over Italy in the final. Underdogs? Not anymore.

The rest of the day was all about recovery and recharging—easy walks, stretching, and some well-deserved downtime after another full day at camp.
