Match Preview: Como 1907 Femminile-Juventus Women

The curtain rises on the first-ever Serie A Women’s season in the history of Como 1907 Women. Tomorrow, Friday, 21 August, at 6.00pm, Como 1907 Femminile will face Juventus Women at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium in the opening match of Group C of the 2026 Serie A Women’s Cup.

You can secure a free seat in the Covered Stand for tomorrow’s match, or a seat in the VIP Stand, including hospitality services, for €25, through this link.

On the shores of Lake Como, the BiancoBlu will make their debut in the Women’s Cup against Juventus Women, the defending champions who defeated Roma in the final of the tournament’s inaugural edition in 2025. Following the pre-season training camp in Mezzana, which included a friendly against Inter Women, and a further friendly against Genoa at the SNEF Lambrone Sports Centre in Erba, the team led by Selena Mazzantini is now preparing for its first competitive match of the season.

With new players joining the squad over the summer following last season’s Serie B Femminile title win and promotion to Serie A Women, the team is now ready for their first ever season in Serie A.

Selena Mazzantini’s comments ahead of Como 1907 Women vs. Juventus Women at Sinigaglia

"Tomorrow will be a special match as it will be our first official game as a newly promoted team. We’re facing a very strong side in Juventus, who compete for major honours every season. It will be a challenging match for us, but also an important opportunity to test ourselves against one of the best teams in the country.

Furthermore, having the opportunity to play at the Sinigaglia, the home of our men’s team, means a great deal to the entire club and to our project. We’ll give everything we have on the pitch to represent Como 1907 with great pride."

Juventus Women

After a 2025–26 season that culminated in a third-place finish in the league, as well as victories in the Women’s Cup and the Italian Super Cup, the Bianconere have made an excellent start to the new campaign. They won all three of their pre-season friendlies against Servette, Como Women and Puskás FC, before going on to win the Women’s Champions League mini-tournament by defeating Torreense and Hammarby, securing their place in the final preliminary round of the competition.

A top-tier side led by new head coach Isaac Guerrero, Juventus Women have also strengthened their squad over the summer with the additions of high-calibre players including Annamaria Serturini, Alba Redondo, Danique Noordman, Julia Bartel, Lea Khelifi, Kysha Sylla and Remina Chiba.

The Bianconere will therefore take to the pitch determined to defend the title they won last season, setting the stage for what promises to be an exciting and competitive match.
