On making the move permanent Matthias commented: “’Im very happy to continue to be part of this amazing club. I feel very honored to keep playing for Como. I think I’m in the right place to develop myself both athletically and personally. We showed last season that we can achieve a lot together and I’m convinced that with hard work we can also achieve our goals in Serie A. I can’t wait to get back to work and play in front of our amazing fans.”

On living in Como he continued: “I enjoy the diversity of Como, the combination of city and nature with the lake. I like to stroll along the lake and enjoy Italian cuisine in one of the many nice restaurants, especially when the weather is good. Playing in a stadium in such a nice environment is incredible.”
