Parma-Como Match Preview
Como travels to Stadio Ennio Tardini to face Parma
Tomorrow, Saturday 3 May 2025, Como 1907 will travel to Parma to face the hosts at the Stadio Ennio Tardini for the 35th round of Serie A Enilive. The Lariani, having secured their Serie A status with a fourth consecutive win, are keen to maintain their momentum. Parma, meanwhile, are looking to extend their unbeaten run to further consolidate their position in the top flight.
“For us, next season has already begun. We want to aim as high as possible. But mentally, we have to be good at understanding that every match is crucial. Parma still have a lot to play for, it’s a huge game for them, and we need to be fully focused to deliver a top performance.”
“I have a great relationship with Chivu. We faced each other last year in the Primavera championship. He’s a great coach with a wealth of experience. Parma are a team that defend as a unit, sitting deeper, closing the spaces well, and looking to counter-attack, and they’re doing very well.”
“Once again, I want to thank the fans. We’re working hard to make them proud. We’re here to build consistency, to entertain, and to fight until the end. There are four games left, two of them at home, and we want to win them, finish strongly, and come back even stronger next season.”
—Cesc Fàbregas, coach of Como 1907, speaking at the pre-match press conference.
Recent Encounters
Parma are unbeaten against Como in Serie A, with one win and two draws. Across both Serie A and Serie B, they have lost only twice at home to Como — once in 1931 and again in 1956.
However, Como come into the match in strong attacking form, having scored in each of their last five Serie A away games — netting 10 goals in total, including six in the most recent two. It’s their best away scoring streak in the top flight since 1976, when they found the net in eight consecutive matches on the road.
The first leg earlier this season ended in a 1-1 draw, with goals from Nico Paz for Como and Ange-Yoan Bonny for Parma.
Players to Look Out for
For Parma, keep an eye on Emanuele Valeri, the first Gialloblù defender since 2004/05 to register six or more assists in a single Serie A season. With two goals and six assists, he’s among the league’s most productive full-backs. Ange-Yoan Bonny has contributed to more goals than any of his teammates this season (six goals and three assists) and scored in the reverse fixture — he’ll be aiming to repeat that feat. Jacob Ondrejka made history by becoming the first Swedish player since Zlatan Ibrahimović to score a Serie A brace, while Mateo Pellegrino has scored all three of his league goals at home.
On the Como 1907 side, the spotlight falls on Nico Paz (six goals and six assists), who netted his first Serie A goal in the reverse fixture against Parma. Both Mërgim Vojvoda and Patrick Cutrone have a history of scoring or assisting against Parma — Cutrone could even register assists in back-to-back Serie A matches for the first time. Gabriel Strefezza is in strong form, with a goal and an assist in his last two games; another assist would mark his best creative season in Serie A. At the back, Marc-Oliver Kempf has played more minutes than any other Como player this campaign and leads the team for defensive clearances.
