The celebrations didn't last very long.
Promotion to Serie A was a moment the players, staff and supporters had worked towards all season, but by the time pre season arrived, the focus had already shifted. There was a new squad to build, new ideas to introduce and a new level of football waiting just around the corner.
Spend a morning at the SNEF Lambrone Sports Centre in Erba and there is little conversation about last season. Training moves quickly, new faces are getting to know one another and every session brings another small step towards August. Promotion may have changed the league, but it hasn't changed the daily work.
That continuity is important.
Selena Mazzantini remains in charge after leading the team to the Serie B title, while Heather O'Reilly continues to shape the wider direction of the women's programme. As Head of Women's Football, her ambition goes beyond results alone.
"Como 1907 will continue to work to make the women's team a place where players want to come to reach their full potential, both on and off the field."
Those words say as much about the Club as they do about the team. Success can attract players. Building the right environment is what convinces them to stay.
This summer has also brought a new voice to the project with the arrival of Technical Director Nils Nielsen. His experience stretches from Manchester City to the national teams of Denmark, Switzerland and Japan, but his first priority is a simple one.
"We're building a team ready to compete against any opponent, one that plays effective and entertaining football. We can't wait for the season to begin, but first we have to build the group."
It is a reminder that promotion doesn't guarantee anything.
Every team arriving in Serie A starts again.
The first opportunity to measure progress will come in the Serie A Women's Cup, where Como will begin against Juventus before facing Milan and Como Women in a group that offers an immediate taste of the level awaiting them this season. There will also be the Coppa Italia, where Brescia provide familiar opposition after last year's meetings in Serie B.
None of it will be easy.
No one inside the Club expects it to be.
But there is a quiet confidence that comes from knowing the foundations are already there. Promotion was earned through consistency, togetherness and a willingness to improve every day. Those qualities matter just as much now as they did twelve months ago.
The badge on the sleeve may say Serie A.
The work behind it still looks very much the same.
