Roma and Como are set to face off at the Olimpico

Como 1907 will travel to the Stadio Olimpico on March 2, 2025 for Matchday 27 of Serie A Enilive. The Lariani approach this fixture on the back of two consecutive victories over Fiorentina and Napoli, aiming to maintain the positive momentum. On the other hand, Roma are the most in-form team in the league in 2025, having won 20 points since January and gone unbeaten in their last 10 matches.

“Since our match in December, Roma have improved a lot. They have found stability, the manager has brought calmness and confidence, and their talented players are making a real difference. You can see they believe in themselves, and they have won important matches, even in the Europa League. We know exactly what to expect. The Olimpico is a special stadium, and for us, this match will be crucial to keep our momentum going.” Cesc Fàbregas, Como 1907 head coach, at the press conference ahead of Roma-Como.

Head-to-head record

Roma have won 11 of the 25 previous Serie A meetings between the two sides, with eight draws and six victories for Como. However, the Lariani have won the last two encounters (both 0-2, in January 2003 and December 2024), marking their best-ever run against Roma in the competition.

In the first leg, Como won 2-0 at the Sinigaglia, with stoppage-time goals from Gabrielloni and Paz. Historically, though, Roma have been strong at home against Como, winning seven of the 12 meetings at the Olimpico, with four draws and just one defeat.

Players to watch

Como 1907’s defence will need to keep a close eye on Paulo Dybala, who has scored six goals this season and is nearing 50 Serie A goal contributions for Roma. Artem Dovbyk, the Giallorossi’s top scorer with eight goals, will miss the match, but Alexis Saelemaekers is in excellent form, having registered five goals and two assists in 2025.

In midfield, Bryan Cristante’s energy and Lorenzo Pellegrini’s leadership will be key, while in defense, Gianluca Mancini and Evan Ndicka will look to shut down Como’s attacking threats.
