Como 1907 kicks off the second edition of the Como Cup: on the first day of this prestigious event, which will take place on the shores of Lake Como, Group A matches will be played, featuring Crystal Palace, RC Lens, and FC Famalicão.
Today's schedule will consist of three 45-minute matches, with a 3-minute cooling break at the 22nd minute of each match. In the event of a tie, the match will go directly to a penalty shootout. The final group standings will be determined as follows: 3 points for a win in regulation time, 2 points for a win in a penalty shootout, 1 point for a loss in a penalty shootout, and 0 points for a loss in regulation time.

Crystal Palace
Coming off a highly successful season, which saw the South London team triumph in both the Community Shield and the Conference League, Crystal Palace is looking forward to a promising 2026–27 season. RC Lens
As noted, in the opening match of the 2026 Como Cup, RC Lens will immediately face its former coach Pierre Sage, now the manager of Crystal Palace. In the 2025–26 season, Lens enjoyed a historic campaign, winning the Coupe de France by defeating Nice in the final, finishing second in Ligue 1, and securing a crucial spot in the Champions League. Like Crystal Palace, RC Lens is a team brimming with talent and great promise. Dino Toppmöller, fresh off his stint with Eintracht Frankfurt, now sits on the French team's bench.
FC Famalicão
Famalicão arrives at the 2026 Como Cup following a 2025–26 season in which the Portuguese side finished fifth in the league. Famalicão, like Crystal Palace and RC Lens, has also changed head coaches: Carlos Carvalhal, who concluded his tenure at Sporting Braga in May 2025, will lead the Portuguese side. This is a team on the rise, which stood out last year for its strategic planning and style of play.
