Touchpoint Spotlight: Civico 3

Via Roma, 3, 22045 Lambrugo, Como (CO)

“My family is like Como 1907, it wins every challenge with grit and determination.”

Walter Colombo is the owner of Civico 3, a pub whose walls are adorned with dozens of historical Como 1907 memorabilia. Part of the Como4Como project, the bar is located in Lambrugo, a village about 20 km from Como. Walter’s love from Como 1907 was inherited from his father Ettore who, since he was a child, took him to support the team home and away all across Italy. Today Walter passes on this passion to his four sons: Andrea, Mirco, Stefano, and Alessio.

“Since 2016, our pub has been a meeting point for the citizens of Lambrugo and for tourists passing by. We show Como’s matches and between a beer and a snack, we tell them the story of Como 1907. On Boxing Day, there were more than 60 of us in the bar watching the Cosenza game, it was like recreating a corner of the stands.”

Some of the memorabilia on the walls have a special meaning: “The shirt of Luca Zanotti, former goalkeeper of Como 1907 in Serie C, carries the signatures of the whole team for my son first son, Andrea. He was born prematurely, weighing only 490 grams but was saved thanks to surgery. He is an intelligent and intuitive child, who despite the challenges he faces, keeps us united, and gave us the strength to have our other three children.”

Walter tells us about his son Stefano’s first time in the stands: “It was the game against Ternana, and when Cas Odenthal scored the winning goal he burst into tears of joy. He moved not only me, but also a large part of the fans around us.”
