Youngsters shine as Diao scores on Como home debut against Milan

The Como-Milan fixture returned to the Serie A Enilive calendar for the first time in over 21 years in front of a sell-out crowd at the Sinigaglia.

After an even first half, which ended goalless, the Lariani took the lead in the 60th minute thanks to a historic first goal from young, up-and-coming winger Assane Diao in his first match as a starter. The goal was set up by another new arrival, 24-year-old French midfielder Maxence Caqueret, who debuted in the BiancoBlu jersey. Milan then managed to turn the game around, ending it 1-2.

Máximo Perrone also returned to the pitch after three months out injured. The focus now turns to the upcoming match against Udinese at the Sinigaglia Stadium on Monday 20 January at 20:45.
