Nikola Čavlina Joins Como on Loan from Dinamo Zagreb

Como 1907 is delighted to announce the arrival of Croatian U21 goalkeeper Nikola Čavlina, who joins on loan from Dinamo Zagreb with an option to buy.

Born in 2002, Čavlina developed through the Dinamo Zagreb academy and signed his first professional contract with the club in 2020. After gaining experience with Dinamo’s second team, he spent two seasons with Lokomotiva Zagreb, making more than 65 appearances in the Croatian top flight.

Last season he featured for NK Osijek, playing nine matches including four in the Conference League, before returning to Dinamo in January. On the international stage, he has represented Croatia from U15s through to U21s.

Commenting on Čavlina’s arrival, Como’s Head Coach Cesc Fàbregas said: “Nikola is a young goalkeeper who has already gained international experience and is skilled both in goal and in setting up play. I look forward to working with him.”

Upon signing, Nikola Čavlina said, ‘I am very happy to be here in Como. Many people have spoken highly of the club and the project, including Martin Baturina. I can’t wait to meet my teammates and wear this shirt.”
