Welcome to Como 1907
Latest Updates
On Wednesday, April 15, Primavera players from Como 1907, Francesco Andrealli and Matteo Papaccioli, took part in a series of workshop activities alongside the children of the Scuola dell’Infanzia Orsoline San Carlo, sharing educational and playful moments as part of Parolario Junior 2026.
The 2026 edition of Parolario Junior, a project born from the experience of the Parolario festival and designed to bring children closer to reading and to discovering the world through hands-on experiences deeply connected to the local area, focused this year on the theme “Roots”, an invitation to discover how everything grows and transforms through care and time, just like we do.
Como 1907 took part in the initiative for the second consecutive year, bringing an authentic presence into local schools, fully aligned with the Club’s values.
During the morning, guided by agronomist Walter Pironi, the children were involved in the “Educational Gardens” workshop, dedicated to plant care and the art of sowing. The pupils explored the plant life cycle by observing its different stages up close, touching natural elements, and understanding how each step requires time, attention, and care. Together with the young Biancoblù players, they then planted pea seeds, entrusting them to the soil with the commitment to care for them in the days ahead in the classroom. “It felt like being a child again,” said Como 1907 midfielder Matteo Papaccioli at the end of the morning, highlighting the authenticity of the experience.

Paola Carlotti, representative of the Parolario ETS Cultural Association, also reflected on the educational value of the initiative: “Sowing is a simple but powerful gesture: it means believing in something that is not yet visible, accepting the time of waiting, and learning to observe small changes, starting with those in the environment. It is an experience that speaks of responsibility and trust, closely linked to the sporting journey, which is built on consistency, training, and gradual growth. In this context, different kinds of roots met: those of nature, connected to the earth and its cycles, and those more symbolic, linked to identity and a sense of belonging.”
The day continued with the creative workshop “Colors Born from Nature”, led by art therapist Jessica Molinari. By working with natural pastes and pigments derived from spices and vegetables, the children experienced a direct sensory connection with materials, creating spontaneous works free from predefined structures.
In this setting as well, the two young Lariani players showed a different side, marked by listening and presence, far from the rhythms of the pitch. “It was emotional to share these moments with them,” said Francesco Andrealli, captain of the Primavera side. “It was a natural exchange: doing something hands-on together with the children is stimulating for them, but it was for me as well.”

Parolario Junior once again proves to be a project capable of weaving together words, nature, and action, transforming stories into real experiences. Thanks to the support of Fondazione Como ETS, the initiative continues to offer meaningful and accessible educational opportunities, reinforcing the strong bond between the Club and its local community. In this open dialogue, sport becomes a tool to support the growth of younger generations, connecting different realities in a shared path of development
Easter 2026 for Como 1907 went far beyond tradition, transforming into a meaningful mission for the local area where the holiday spirit met social commitment and environmental protection. Together with the Fondazione Como ETS, the Club reaffirmed its role as a cornerstone of the community, promoting initiatives that put inclusion and younger generations at the heart of its work.

The first symbolic gesture was the delivery of official Como 1907 chocolate eggs, featuring exclusive BiancoBlu gadgets, to several local organizations that collaborate with the Club year-round. Recipients included associations such as LINKS, Como 1907’s special team registered with the DCPS (Paralympic and Experimental Football Division), Il Sorriso which supports people with disabilities and their families, Eskenosen, dedicated to educational and social projects, Casa della Giovane, a landmark for women’s shelter and support, Fuoriclasse, working with youth in educational contexts, and So-stare, an organization focused on social inclusion.

Furthermore, the Club strengthened its commitment by working in close synergy with the Municipality of Como. On Thursday, April 2nd, the park of Villa Olmo was transformed into the stage for a special educational "Easter Egg Hunt." Here, fun was intertwined with environmental awareness: through themed stations dedicated to biodiversity, recycling, the water cycle, and the protection of urban wildlife, young participants learned the value of sustainability. By using eco-compatible materials and solving "green" riddles, the children discovered how to care for public parks, a vital pillar of the city's quality of life.

These initiatives, which bring different generations together under the BiancoBlu colors, represent the essence of Como 1907’s core values: a Club that does not limit itself to the pitch, but strives every day to be a driver of growth, inclusion, and responsibility for the entire community.

Following the 0-0 draw in the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinals on March 3, Como and Inter face off again on the shores of the lake, this time in league play. The Biancoblù, currently fifth in the standings with 58 points, are coming off a 0-0 draw on Easter Monday at Udinese. The Nerazzurri, on the other hand, after three consecutive league games without a win before the international break, bounced back to claim three points with a 5-2 home victory over Roma with Marcus Thuram on fire, as he scored and recorded two assists. Como and Inter now find themselves in the spotlight at the Sinigaglia with the stakes very high: Inter to maintain their seven-point lead over second place, and Como to keep their momentum going. The match between the Biancoblù and the Nerazzurri will also feature the league’s best attack (Inter’s, with 71 goals scored) and best defence (Como’s, with 22 goals conceded). Finally, the match between Como and Inter will also mark the third meeting of the season between Cesc Fàbregas and Cristian Chivu, two coaches who have distinguished themselves this season with sophisticated and well-executed game plans.
Here are the words of Como 1907 head coach Cesc Fàbregas ahead of Como-Inter:
"We need to play with courage, as we always do, and we must be ready to make the difference at key moments. In our last match against Inter, we created chances but were not clinical enough in the final third. That is where matches are decided, it is where you score and win.
"Inter are a side who reached the Champions League final last year and are close to winning Serie A, so we will need to put in a strong performance. We must approach the game with humility, work hard and believe in ourselves. Confidence is important, but so is knowing how to capitalise on the right moments during the match.
"Our biggest strength has to be our stadium and our fans. Their singing and support right to the end will make the difference. Tomorrow, the players will give their all."
Inter
Seventy-one goals scored, a full 17 more than the league’s second-best attack, Juventus’s. First in Serie A for expected goals created per play, first for shots on target per play, and first for crosses into the penalty area, Inter overwhelm opposing teams in waves and continue to produce, attacking effectively both down the flanks and through the middle. The Nerazzurri’s traditional 3-5-2 formation, characterised by constant rotations, allows Cristian Chivu’s team to be particularly effective against opponents who employ man-to-man marking across the entire pitch. The most recent example came in last Sunday’s match against Roma: the constant positional shifts among Inter’s players threw the Giallorossi off balance, as the Nerazzurri exploited well-rehearsed patterns and excellent teamwork to consistently beat their markers and make the most of the spaces created.
Inter have also recently welcomed back two key players for their style of play: Lautaro Martínez and Denzel Dumfries, both of whom immediately delivered outstanding performances against Roma: Inter’s captain though will be forced to miss the game against Como after picking up a new injury. The Nerazzurri are an aggressive and intense team, effective at regaining possession immediately and applying pressure high up the pitch, as well as moving the ball sharply in possession. In the three matches before the break—the derby defeat to Milan and the 1-1 draws against Atalanta and Fiorentina—Inter appeared less sharp than usual, due both to physical issues and to the heavy schedule they had faced up to that point in the season.
Now, however, Cristian Chivu’s team, which this season has almost always started matches well only to concede more in the closing stages, seems to have regained its best form and, above all, to have rediscovered one of the few players in the squad capable of making a difference in one-on-one situations: Marcus Thuram, who recorded two assists and a goal against Roma. In Sunday night’s match, the Biancoblù will face top-level opposition.
Previous encounters
The two teams have faced off 22 times at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia Stadium. The record stands at five wins for Como, six draws, and 11 wins for the visitors.
The Biancoblù’s last victory against Inter dates back to December 1985, when Stefano Borgonovo’s goal proved decisive in a 1-0 win on the shores of Lake Como.
