Quelli che…Con Luca & Como 1907

Como 1907 is proud to help support the incredible work of  ‘Quelli Che…Con Luca’, a charity born from loss but driven by hope.

Founded in memory of Luca Ciccione, who tragically lost his battle with childhood leukemia, ‘Quelli che…con Luca’ has dedicated itself to funding research at the Tettamenti Laboratory at San Gerardo Hospital in Monza in pursuit of a cure since 2011. Over the past few years, Como 1907 has proudly stood alongside the organisation.

This partnership was born from a conversation between Andrea Ciccione, Luca’s father, and Alessandro Giummo, a devoted Como supporter and a member of the Pesi Massimi fan group. What began as a dialogue soon became an important partnership for Como 1907.

Since 2022, Como 1907 has supported ‘Quelli che…con Luca’ in various ways, such as handing over the sponsorship of the third kit to ensure the charity receives exposure and all the proceeds of the sales go directly to the association. This season the charity’s logo is proudly displayed on the players’ left sleeve.

In the winter of 2023, Como 1907 took its support a step further by hosting a spectacular holiday gala, bringing together players, celebrities, and supporters to raise funds and awareness. The event saw the likes of Ed Westwick, Tyra Banks, and Gianluca Zambrotta joining forces for a charity auction, with proceeds fueling critical leukemia research. This also led to Tyra Banks visiting the hospital to see the work in action.

Through these efforts, Como 1907 has helped fund the purchase of cutting-edge medical equipment, including the Seahorse Analyzer and the Incucyte, essential tools for advancing leukemia and tumor research.

Beyond financial support, the club continues to use its global platform to amplify the cause. This season, Como 1907 faced Napoli in Serie A for the first time in over 21 years, stepping onto the iconic Diego Maradona Stadium in the club’s third kit proudly featuring ‘Quelli Che…Con Luca’ on their sleeve. As more than 50,000 fans watched the Lariani battle on the field, the club paid tribute to the countless children who fight leukemia every day.
