A Charity Auction with a “Legendary” Touch
During the Partners Christmas Night, the Club’s Partners and members of the Lario Business Club joined forces for a special goal: supporting the association Incroci ODV.
Founded 25 years ago by a group of citizens eager to respond to social needs, Incroci ODV is now part of Vicini di Strada, the network of organizations in the Como area working to support people experiencing severe social marginalization. The association is also one of the organizations managing Casa Nazareth, the city’s solidarity canteen.
At Casa Nazareth, every evening on a rotating basis, 250 volunteers offer not only meals, but also listening, welcome, and human connection.
Support for Incroci ODV took shape through a charity auction, enriched by memorabilia from Como 1907 players and great football legends such as Gianluca Zambrotta and Paolo Rossi, with the support of the organizers of the traveling exhibition Paolo Rossi & The Football Legends.
The response from the Club’s Partners and members of the Lario Business Club was enthusiastic and generous, and the evening concluded with an extraordinary result: the funds raised will cover 2,250 meals, which will be prepared and served by Incroci ODV volunteers at Casa Nazareth.
Key figures from the club were in attendance, including CEO Francesco Terrazzani and Sporting Director Carlalberto Ludi, who promoted the initiative alongside Cesare Bernardi, Board Member and volunteer of the association, and Carlotta Toscano, Head of Communications for Vicini di Strada, the network of organizations operating in Como in the field of severe social marginalization.
An evening that showed what it truly means to be a team, both on and off the pitch.
