Achille Cauli signs His First Professional Contract

Como 1907 is pleased to announce that Achille Cauli has signed his first professional contract, continuing the club’s focus on developing young Italian talent through the Academy Pathway.

The Italian striker, born in 2010, has already earned recognition at national level, receiving his first call up to the Italy Under 16 national team. Cauli has been wearing the blue and white jersey since the 2024 25 season and his rise has been swift. After playing last season with the Under 15 team, he started the 2025 26 season with the Under 16s before moving up to the Under 17 team. Since arriving on the shores of Lake Como, Cauli has scored 26 goals in 44 games.

“This is definitely a great achievement for both Achille and our club. Achille is a striker who has already moved up from the Under 16s to the Under 17s, showing great determination and commitment. We are very proud of him and hope he can continue his rise through our youth ranks. Achille is a great example of the concept that if you are strong enough, you are big enough. If a player is ready to play at a higher level, we will not keep him in his age group. Achille has shown the determination necessary to make this leap, and we will do everything possible to support his growth within our youth sector,” said Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907.

Achille Cauli had this to say about his achievement: “All the coaches I’ve had here in Como have made me understand that without sacrifice and commitment, you can’t move forward they are two fundamental requirements. Wearing the Como jersey is always an honor for me, and I will always give my all for this jersey. Last year, I arrived and played for the Under 15s. This season, I started with the Under 16s and now I’m with the Under 17s. Playing against older players is always great because you’re forced to adapt quickly and learn new things right away. Until recently, I never expected to do so well, but with commitment and sacrifice, you can really improve a lot and get a lot of satisfaction. My only goal is to help the team as much as possible and score lots of goals.”
