Biancoblù Players Called Up for International Duty
Como 1907 will be proudly represented around the world during the September international break, with 14 Biancoblù players called up by their national teams for World Cup qualifiers, European Championship qualifiers, and youth tournaments taking place between 1–9 September 2025.
At the top of the list are two young Italians making their mark: Fellipe Jack and Fabio Rispoli, both currently on loan at Spezia and Catanzaro, who have received call-ups to Italy’s Under-20 squad for friendlies against England and Germany.
Elsewhere across Europe and beyond, Como’s international presence is strong:
- Nico Paz joins the Argentina senior squad for 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Ecuador.
- Martin Baturina and Ivan Smolčić will line up for Croatia in their qualifiers against the Faroe Islands and Montenegro.
- Tasos Douvikas has been called up by Greece for matches against Belarus and Denmark.
- Mërgim Vojvoda, captain of Kosovo, will lead his country against Switzerland and Sweden.
- Stefan Posch, one of Como’s latest arrivals, will represent Austria in qualifiers against Bosnia and Cyprus.
- Álvaro Morata and Jesús Rodrigues will wear the Spain shirt for World Cup qualifiers against Bulgaria and Turkey.
- Spanish youngsters Jacobo Ramón and Álex Valle will feature for Spain Under-21s in European Championship qualifiers against Cyprus and Kosovo.
- Jayden Addai has been selected for the Netherlands Under-21s for a friendly against Israel.
- From Como’s Primavera, Lyfe Oldenstam will play with the Netherlands Under-19s in three friendlies against Spain, Ukraine and England.
- Francesco Andrealli joins Peru Under-18s for friendlies against Guatemala.
- Kristiāns Mežsargs, also from the Primavera squad, has been called up to Latvia Under-21s for a qualifier against Germany.
The Biancoblù family will be watching proudly as our players represent both Como 1907 and their nations.
