Como 1907 signs Swiss forward Maylis Gissi from Chieti

Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of the Swiss forward Maylis Gissi on a one year contract.

Born in 1996 in Switzerland with Argentine origins, Maylis played in Argentina and Spain with the jerseys of Independente, San Lorenzo, Uniò Esportiva L’Estartit and Oceania 6, before returning to Argentina at Independente playing the first professional women’s football tournament in Argentina.
That time, Maylis was the tournament’s top scorer, with 11 goals.

In 2020 she moved on to Gymnastics and Fencing La Plata before arriving in Italy in 2022 to play for Calcio Femminile Chieti in Serie C.

Heather O’Reilly, recently announced as the architect behind the ambitious project to take Como 1907 Women’s team to Serie A, commented: ‘’Mayliss is a player that can score goals and is familiar with Serie C. We need players
like that, because that is our clear focus – promotion”.

After signing for the club, Maylis commented: “I am excited to be here. I immediately noticed the excellent organisation and professionalism! There is a fantastic atmosphere at Como 1907. I can’t wait to begin this adventure, and I am confident that with hard work, commitment, and professionalism, we will achieve great things.”
