Como secure Serie A safety

Como-Genoa  1-0

Goalscorer: Strefezza 59’

Como 1907 recorded their fourth consecutive victory, defeating Genoa 1-0 at home thanks to Gabriel Strefezza’s decisive goal. This result not only guarantees the Lariani’s presence in the Serie A 2025-26 championship but also matches their historic record of consecutive wins in the top division—a feat last achieved in 1952.

The BiancoBlu took the lead in the 59th minute through Brazilian forward Gabriel Strefezza, who scored his fourth goal of the season by expertly converting an assist – the fifth of the season – from captain Patrick Cutrone with a precise finish at the near post.

Additionally, this Serie A Matchday 34 saw an array of special guests in attendance at the Sinigaglia. Formula 1 driver Pierre Gasly, French pianist Sofiane Pamart, British rapper, singer-songwriter and actor Kano, and former French footballer Assana Diarra all attended Como-Genoa, supporting the Lariani in their third-last home game of the season.
