Giuseppe Savona Joins Como 1907 Under 17 on Loan

Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of Italian winger Giuseppe Savona from Genoa on loan with an option to buy.

Born in 2009, Savona links up with Salvatore Leotta’s Under 17 side and has already made an early impact, featuring twice since arriving and registering an assist against Hellas Verona.

The move reflects Como 1907’s continued focus on bringing leading young Italian talent into the youth sector.

Osian Roberts, Head of Development at Como 1907, said: “Savona is technically strong and a good athlete. With Albini stepping up into the Primavera this season, an opportunity opened in the Under 17 squad and we felt this was the right moment to bring Giuseppe in. We hope he settles quickly and helps us across the second half of the season. We believe he has real room to develop and grow into a very interesting player.”

Giuseppe Savona added: “I am very happy to have joined this club. Since arriving, I have already made my debut and got to know the staff and my teammates straight away. It is a great group and I cannot wait to see what the second half of the season brings. I want to improve a lot and help the team as much as I can.”
