Match Preview Como Vs Juventus

Following the away draw against Atalanta and the international break, during which numerous Bianco Blu players were involved with their respective national teams, the Lariani will return to the Sinigaglia Stadium for the seventh matchday of the 2025/26 Serie A Enilive season. Tomorrow at 12:30 pm, Como will take on Juventus on the shores of Lake Como.

Here are Sporting Director Carlalberto Ludi thoughts before Como-Juventus:

“Against Juventus, it’s going to be an extremely hard-fought match, one where we want to make our people proud. We know we’re up against a side with the quality and talent to win any game.

Throughout the week, I’ve seen the team’s focus, and the mentality Cesc brings. We’re clear about what we need to do and confident in what we’re capable of. We hope to honour what’s going to be another historic day for this club.

We’ve been without our fans for four matches due to the recent events that have impacted the local area. We wanted to thank them and applaud their commitment and the way they’ve stepped up as volunteers. Tomorrow, they’ll be back in the stands, and it will be special.

You can truly feel the difference on the pitch. We’re expecting that energy, that atmosphere that has carried us through even the most difficult moments over the years. We need a stadium that truly comes alive.”

Juventus

The Bianconeri arrive at the Sinigaglia match on the back of three consecutive draws, but strong in the knowledge that they are one of only two teams still unbeaten in the league alongside Atalanta: Igor Tudor’s side’s last defeat came on 23 April, when Parma won 1-0 at the Tardini.

For Sunday’s match, Juventus will be without defenders Juan Cabal, who was injured in the last Champions League match, and Gleison Bremer, who underwent surgery this week for a meniscus injury. Despite the absences, Juventus will be able to count on some high-quality options, especially in attack and even during the match: the Bianconeri lead the league with four goals scored by substitutes.

Sunday’s match will be a difficult one, to be played with maximum intensity from the first to the last second. In this early part of the season, Juventus have shown themselves to be a team that stays alive until the final whistle, as evidenced by the four goals scored between the 76th and 90th minutes.

Previous matches

The two teams have met 31 times in Serie A and the Coppa Italia. Juventus have the upper hand with 15 wins to Como’s four, and 13 draws.

The last two official matches, played during the 2024/25 Serie A season, also ended in Juventus’ favour. The first match, played in August 2024, marked Como’s return to Serie A after 21 years.
