Matteo Papaccioli signs his first professional contract

Como 1907 is pleased to announce that Matteo Papaccioli has signed his first professional contract.

Born in 2008, the Italian-Brazilian midfielder joined Como 1907 in 2022 and has become a key player within the Lariani’s Academy.

With the Como 1907 U16 team he has made 25 appearances, scoring 7 goals and providing 6 assists.

This season Papaccioli joined the Biancoblu’s Primavera and last Saturday, he scored the winning goal in the Como-Pro Vercelli match, which ended 1-0.

In February 2024, he made his debut with the Azzurrini in a friendly match against Belgium’s Under 16 side. He has accumulated 11 appearances and 3 goals across both the Under 16 and Under 17 teams.

Como 1907 coach Cesc Fàbregas commented: “Papaccioli has shown that he is a player with good talent and potential. In this beginning of the season he has stood out for his skills and that is why we are happy that he signed his first professional contract, we will follow his growth path carefully.”
