Touchpoint Spotlight: Tagliabue Sorelle – Urban Garden Design

Via Alessandro Volta, 39, 22036 Erba CO

The Tagliabue family’s ‘green’ tradition dates back to the 1930s when Grandfather Alfredo devoted his life to plant cultivation. He started a small nursery near Piazza Mercato in Erba (CO), where the family still resides today. It was also Grandfather Alfredo who instilled in Simone, now the owner and garden designer of Tagliabue Sorelle: Urban Garden Design, a deep passion for Como 1907.

My grandfather looked after the Sinigaglia pitch and, in 1984, I managed to get access to the stadium for a period and enjoy the Serie A years.”

Tagliabue Sorelle: Urban Garden Design is located in Erba at Via Volta 39, just five doors down from the historic headquarters where, since the early 1960s, the two sisters, Emiliana and Fernanda, skillfully continued the family’s tradition of being esteemed nurserymen and pioneers in the world of greenery.

Now run by the third generation of the family, the business has grown significantly over the years. In addition to selling plants and flowers directly, the ‘Green Division’ has been introduced, offering a range of services related to green care, catering to both private and public entities.

The shop also houses a creative workshop, producing original compositions and decorations to suit every taste, need, and occasion.

This historic flower shop primarily focuses on cut flowers and natural products, working in harmony with the cyclical nature of the seasons.

“My family has carried on a tradition of floristry, a historic shop that we run with pride. With my sister, Vanessa and my partner, Sabrina, we continue to look for the best flowers, working naturally and seasonally, just as our mother did. It is a beautiful adventure, which we carry on with passion and dedication’.

Now an integral part of the Como4Como project, Tagliabue Sorelle: Urban Garden Design offers Como 1907 branded products as well as white-blue bouquets with gentian flowers, a tribute to the Como 1907 colours.

“My family and I love Como 1907. I’ve been going to the Curva for over 25 years, and my sister and brother-in-law have been season ticket holders their entire lives. I founded the Como Club Erba, and it has been incredibly satisfying to combine my artistic pursuits with my love for Como 1907.

I also created a painting inspired by the night of Como-Cosenza, the last match that moved me deeply.

I am very attached to Patrick Cutrone. For me, Patrick is the symbol of the footballer who, in addition to talent, puts in commitment and dedication, and then, to see a Como player who has toured Europe return here is something extraordinary”.
