Following Saturday’s 2–1 away win over UC Sampdoria, which consolidated their position at the top of the league, eight players from the Como 1907 Primavera side have been called up to represent their national teams.
It is a proud moment for the club and its academy, reflecting the dedication and hard work of both players and staff. Here are the players representing Como 1907 during the international break:
Cristiano De Paoli and Alessio Baralla have been called up to the Italy Under-18 team, which will face Scotland (25 March), Poland (28 March), and the Republic of Ireland (31 March) in the European Under-19 Championship qualifiers.
Matteo Albini has been selected for the Italy Under-17 team, which will play Portugal (25 March), Iceland (28 March), and Romania (31 March) in the European Under-17 Championship qualifiers.
Goalkeeper Henrique Menke will join the Brazil Under-20 squad for two friendlies against Paraguay in São Paulo on 28 and 31 March.
Forward Kristiāns Mežsargs will represent Latvia’s Under-21 team in the European Championship qualifiers against Georgia (27 March) and Northern Ireland (31 March).
Lyfe Oldenstam has been called up to the Netherlands Under-19 squad for the European Under-19 Championship elite round, facing Finland (25 March), Slovenia (28 March), and Spain (31 March).
Primavera captain Francesco Andrealli will play for Peru’s Under-20 team in two friendlies against Chile on 29 and 31 March.
Finally, Levente Bősze has been called up to the Hungary Under-18 team for Round 1 of the European Championship qualifiers against Switzerland (25 March), France (28 March) and Wales (31 March).
