Como 1907 faced Hellas Verona today in the midweek fixture, winning 3-1 in front of the home crowd at the Sinigaglia Stadium.
Greek striker Tasos Douvikas opened the scoring in the 6th minute with a header from an Álex Valle cross, his fifth goal of the season and second in Serie A. Verona equalised later on in the first half.
In the second half, defender Stefan Posch put the Lariani back in front with another header, scoring his first Serie A goal for Como assisted by midfielder Maxence Caqueret.
Mërgim Vojvoda then sealed the win on the counterattack scoring his first of the season and finishing off an assist from Jesús Rodríguez, who returned from suspension.
Also worth noting were the returns to the starting lineup of Assane Diao and Nicolas Kühn after their injuries, and the 30th appearance for Jean Butez, who made several key saves to protect the lead.
