Water Experience Center

Water Experience Center (WEC), located in Faggeto Lario on Lake Como, was founded in 2015 by a group of water sports enthusiasts. Established to provide unique experiences that connect people with water and nature, WEC has significantly expanded its range of activities and services over the years.

WEC was founded in 2015 with the aim of becoming a hub for water sports enthusiasts. Initially, the centre focused on basic activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding (SUP). Riccardo Cipriani, who started as a friend and collaborator, gradually became more involved until he became a Managing Director of the centre.

“Today, WEC boasts a team of collaborators, including Sheila, our ‘art director,’ and Eli, our unstoppable all-rounder, along with all the young people who contribute to the centre’s daily operations.”

Over time, WEC has expanded its offerings to include a wide variety of water sports, such as jet skiing, wakesurfing, wakeboarding, water skiing, and kneeboarding, as well as boat rentals that don’t require a licence. The centre also organises water sports events, creating opportunities for visitors of all ages and skill levels.

In addition to sports activities, WEC also offers boat tours, allowing visitors to discover the beauty of Lake Como from a unique perspective. 

In the past year, Riccardo has been advocating for WEC to join the Como4Como project, an initiative aimed at promoting and supporting Como 1907, his hometown football team.

“My passion for football started as a child, when my uncle used to take me to the Sinigaglia Stadium, then home of the ‘Fossa Lariana’.”

Always connected to and committed to sport, joining Como4Como was a natural extension of his dedication to both sport and the community. By combining his love for Como football with promoting local activities through WEC, Riccardo is creating synergies between water sports and football, sharing Como’s passion with international tourists.
